How it works
Tell us who you are and send a recent electricity bill, or your plant details if you generate.
We analyse your consumption and tariff, or quantify your surplus, and come back with what it could look like.
Energy from generators on the network reaches you across the existing grid. This is called wheeling.
Metered, verified and reconciled every month, with reporting to the network operator handled for you.
Wheeling means using the existing electricity grid to deliver energy from a generator at one site to a consumer at another. It is an established, regulated practice in South Africa. Nothing physical changes at your premises and no new infrastructure is required.
Earth & Wire operates the platform that makes it work: onboarding, appraisal, matching, wheeling agreements, metering and data, billing and settlement, and reporting to the network operator so that everything reconciles.
Coming 2029 / 2030
EnergyField is a hybrid renewable energy cluster under development in the Eastern Cape near KwaNojoli: approximately 1 GW of permitted wind and 800 MW of permitted solar, plus 500 MW / 2,000 MWh of battery storage. It is one of South Africa’s largest fully permitted clean energy developments.
